Project: pal-e-portfolio
Vision
A living portfolio that showcases Lucas Draney's full-stack engineering through real products, documented methodology, and (eventually) an AI-powered assistant that walks visitors through the work. The portfolio is both the product and the case study — self-hosted, self-aware, READ ONLY on documentation access.

Architecture
Portfolio as Hub
The portfolio is a single-page landing that routes visitors to real things. It does not duplicate content — it links to live playgrounds and pal-e-docs project pages.
Contact Form
Vanilla HTML form → tiny Python sidecar → Gmail SMTP to draneylucas@gmail.com. No third-party services.
Future: Betty Sue Chatbot
AI assistant on the portfolio (separate repo, separate project). Uses self-hosted Ollama, READ ONLY access to pal-e-docs. Can navigate visitors through projects and discuss architecture. The development of the bot is itself a portfolio piece.

Key Conventions
- Vanilla HTML/CSS — playground convention. No npm, no frameworks, no build step. SvelteKit migration is a future phase.
- Same Tailscale funnel pattern — nginx + hostPath + Tailscale ingress, separate from playground deployment
- Don't touch pal-e-playground — portfolio is a separate deployment, not a replacement
- READ ONLY on pal-e-docs — the bot (future) never writes. Security boundary, non-negotiable.
